[Case Study] Utilizing 3D Printers to Transform Complex Internal Structures into Final Products
Using a 3D printer for parts with complex internal structures of small formula cars to create the final product.
We will introduce a case where the fundamental lightweighting and performance improvement of intake components mounted on small formula cars were achieved, along with the manufacturing technology and reliability to realize this. Complex hollow shapes were integrally molded without the use of jigs and utilized as final products. We spoke with TUAT Formula from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, who participates in the "Student Formula Japan Competition" every year. ■Usage Examples We are utilizing 3D CAD data for a wide range of applications, including extrusion molding, casting, machining, and as alternative methods for injection molding, molds, and formwork, as well as for molding small parts of IoT products and finished products.
